Joint police forces nab suspected Abu Sayaf members

PRO-10 personnel, along with operatives from National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region 12 and police officers from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Units (CIDU) of ARMM and Region 10, Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 10 arrested on May 11, 2013 two (2) suspected Abu Sayaf members at about 4:30 PM in Barangay Fort, Marawi City.

The arrested suspects were identified as TERMIJE AHMAD, also known by the names EMRAN NAPEH and MIDING; and RENEER LOU P. DONGON, also known as ROLY UNTING.

The arrests were made by virtue of two (2) separate Warrants for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention with Ransom penalized under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 7659.

PRAI holds Thanksgiving Rally in Cagayan de Oro City

A Thanksgiving Rally was held last May 10, 2013 at the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Regional Office 10 located in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City by the assemblage of retired (but not tired) Police Retirees’ Association, Inc. Region 10 Chapter spearheaded by PRAI 10 President, PSSUPT CREDO B. RUBIO (Retired), with the presence of PRAI National President, PDIR VAN S LUSPO (Retired) and more or less 300 retired PNP personnel all over Region 10.

The rally which started at 7:00 o’clock in the morning convened at Gaston Park and motorcaded along Velez Street through C.M. Recto Avenue, crossed the Marcos Bridge and reassembled in front of DBM Regional Office 10 in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City where the peaceful assembly was held.

PRO-10 deploys more personnel to secure polls, while 200 personnel arrived from PRO-7 for election duties

Police Regional Office (PRO) 10 deploys personnel performing administrative duties in the region, and those undergoing training, to supplement the number of police officers assigned in the cities and municipalities.

The maximum deployment of PNP personnel for the upcoming midterm elections will form part of the PNP’s plan to ensure a safe and fair Election.

This augmentation force includes police recruits, students of the Regional Training School in Patag, Cagayan de Oro City and the Special Training Unit in Damilag, Bukidnon, and other PNP personnel assigned in the national support units.
