The month long celebration of Flores de Mayo and Santa Cruzan was initiated by PCINSP JAIME CONSOLACION SERIÑA III, in coordination with the PRO 10 Ladies Club and the Camp Alagar Residents Association (CARA).
The Flores de Mayo had started every afternoon from the first day of May 2010 until its culmination on 31 May 2010 in which one of its activities, the distribution of school materials to more or less one hundred (100) children. Which was done by Ms Marilou A Laza, assisted by PSUPT RUSTOM CARMONA DURAN SR, OIC, RPCRD, PCINSP JAIME C SERIÑA III and the officers/members of CARA.
On the afternoon of May 31, 2010 at exactly 2:30 P.M., the Santa Cruzan started with the procession of the Majestic Reyna Elena (Queen of Helena) followed by the twenty seven (27) Sagalas sponsored by the different police offices and NSUs of region 10 to include the PRO 10 Ladies Club and CARA.
It started from Multi-purpose Hall passing the front of the admin building and ended at the grandstand where the program proper was conducted.
Each Sagala, wearing a colorful gown, was escorted by PCOs with two PNCOs in GOA type “A” uniform as arch bearer.
The program was formally opened by an invocation by PCINSP JAIME C SERIÑA III, Regional Chaplain followed by the presentation of Sagalas; speech of the Reyna Elena 2009; turnover of Crown; Sash; Scepter and cape by PSSUPT LYNDEL A DESQUITADO, DRDO, HQs PRO 10.
Intermission numbers were presented followed by an inspirational message of PSSUPT LYNDEL A DESQUITADO, DRDO and the Sagalas’ flower offering to the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Snacks was served at the Multi-purpose Hall and ended at about 1700H of same date.
